UC Riverside Professor to Speak at Dyslexia Event

Free documentary screening will be followed by panel discussion at Culver Center for the Arts in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) — A free film screening and panel discussion focused on dyslexia being held in conjunction with National Dyslexia Awareness Month will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at the University of California, Riverside’s Culver Center for the Arts in downtown Riverside.

A screening of the documentary, “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia” will be followed by a panel discussion featuring: Rollanda O’Connor, professor and Eady/Hendrick Endowed Chair at UC Riverside’s Graduate School of Education; Regina Richards, director of Richards Educational Therapy Center in Riverside, and Regina Manning professional tutor and dyslexia specialist from Riverside.

The event is being hosted by the So CA Tri-Counties Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and UC Riverside’s Graduate School of Education.
