Economic Forecast Conference Registration Open

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) — Registration remains open for the 2013 Riverside/San Bernardino Economic Forecast Conference hosted by The University of California, Riverside’s School of Business Administration and Beacon Economics on Oct. 29 at the Riverside Auditorium & Events Center, formerly known as the Riverside Municipal Auditorium.

Jordan Levine, director of economic research at Beacon, will present a California and Riverside/San Bernardino forecast. Christopher Thornberg, founding partner of Beacon, will present the international and national forecasts.

The forecasts will be followed by panel discussion called “Development After Redevelopment: How Cities Can Grow Their Economies Without California’s Redevelopment Agencies.” Participants include: Robert Wassmer, chairperson and professor in the Department of Public Policy at California State University, Sacramento, and Robert Swayze, principal at Altadena-based Economic Development Results LLC.

The conference begins at 7 a.m. with registration and breakfast. The forecast and redevelopment discussion will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
