It was a very busy 2013 for the University of California, Riverside.

We said goodbye to former Chancellor Timothy White in December 2012, said hello to Interim Chancellor Jane Close Conoley in January, and welcomed Chancellor Kim Wilcox in August.

We held Homecoming 2013 in March … and liked it so much we did it again in November!

We celebrated the biggest commencement numbers ever, sat down with the bronze Scotty in the quad, saw the opening of the School of Medicine, started the School of Public Policy, and placed highly on many school ranking lists.

We were also dubbed one of seven “Next Generation” universities, due to UCR’s efficiency and diverse population.

All in all, a great year for Highlanders!
