Faculty, staff, students and alumni gathered Tuesday at the HUB for a master planning workshop to brainstorm what is working – and what is not working – about the current physical campus. Participants mentioned opportunities for more informal gathering spaces, more food venues, separation between bikes and pedestrians, and more solar panels shading buildings and parking lots. A second workshop was held Tuesday evening for members of the community around campus. The planning sessions are part of an ongoing effort to prepare for growth to meet the needs of the plan for UCR 2020.
