Memorial Service for Educator Pam Clute Announced for 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at UCR

Her passion was outreach to students and teachers in science and mathematics

In recognition of Dr. Pamela S. Clute’s long service to UCR, California, and far beyond, there will be a public memorial service at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the UC Riverside Student Recreation Center South Building.

The event, “Pam Clute:  A Celebration of Life,” will include tributes by community leaders from the Inland Region.

Pamela Clute, assistant vice chancellor emerita and UCR Foundation trustee passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21. Clute, who held three degrees from UCR, was a pioneer of STEM education. After retiring from UCR last year, she went on to continue her long-time work with educators throughout Southern California. She is survived by her husband, former California Assemblyman Steve Clute, of Palm Desert.
