UC Riverside is growing, which is no surprise to people who have walked the campus this Fall. Official enrollment numbers are in. The campus has 22,921 total students.

Of those 19,799 are undergraduates. When it comes to the new student population, UCR made history with its 6,592 new students (freshmen and transfer).

Here are other highlights:

  • Of the total campus enrollment, 11,472 are first generation college students
  • CHASS has the largest student enrollment, with 11,203 total; of those 3,545 are new students

Those Memories of Travel Will Come in Handy

If you are a UCR graduate and you studied abroad with one of UCR’s education abroad programs, it’s time to recount your experience.

The International Affairs Office is building content for its up-and-coming monthly newsletter and wants to feature UCR staff and faculty who obtained their college degree from this campus — and studied abroad. All you have to do is write 200-300 words about your experience abroad. Include a photo of you.

This Sunday is Art in the Gardens

Spend a pleasant Sunday strolling through the Alder Canyon area of the beautiful UCR Botanic Gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 for the annual showcase of ceramics, glass, jewelry, mosaics, watercolor, metal work and gourd art.  Art in the Gardens is a great opportunity to shop early for the holidays!  Admission and parking are both free for this event.

Don’t forget to come out to Thursday Night Live, The event continues Thursday from 5:15-8:15 p.m. in the HUB Plaza featuring The Fab 8, a Beatles tribute band. Every Thursday, UCR has a Farmer’s Market from 4 to 8 p.m. near Glen Mor that is open to the campus, as well as to the community. There is free parking for 45 minutes in Lot 14.
