Free Rose Pruning Demonstration Planned

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) — The University of California, Riverside Botanic Gardens will host its annual free rose pruning demonstration from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 in the rose gardens.

Members of the Mountain View Rose Society, Botanic Gardens volunteers, UCCE Master Gardeners, and local experts will demonstrate how to prune hybrid tea, floribunda, miniature roses, and climbers.

The demonstration is free but donations are accepted. There is no cost for parking in the Botanic Gardens parking lot or in parking lot 13. Door prizes and refreshments will be provided.

In case of rain on Jan. 8, the demonstration will be postponed to 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.
