Campus Conversations with Chancellor Wilcox Begin Jan. 30

Members of the UC Riverside campus community will have an on-going opportunity to discuss the campus through a new series of conversations with Chancellor Kim A. Wilcox.

The first of these meetings will take place on Monday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in HUB 302. Light refreshments will be provided.  Additional sessions have been scheduled throughout February and March.

The conversation session on Jan. 30 will begin with a brief update on the campus and Provost transition by Chancellor Wilcox, followed by 30-minute roundtable discussions facilitated by administrative, faculty, and staff leadership.

“These discussions will be organized to identify topics we should address in the coming months,” said Wilcox in announcing the series.  “I hope that all members of the UCR community will make an effort to participate.”

Below is a list of scheduled conversations; locations and topics will be announced prior to the meetings.

  • Monday, Jan. 30, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (HUB 302)
  • Monday, Feb. 13, 12-1 p.m.
  • Monday, Feb. 27, 12-1 p.m.
  • Monday, March 13, 12-1 p.m.
  • Monday, March 27, 12-1 p.m.

Another opportunity to converse with Wilcox will be on Jan. 31 during “Walk and Talk with Leadership,” which is part of UCR’s “WalkingFit” program. Participants who want to join the chancellor during the 30-minute walk should meet by the Scotty the Bear statue near the HUB at 12:15 p.m.
