UC Riverside has received a generous endowment gift from Teresa and Robert Stapleton. Left to right: Cynthia K. Larive, UCR interim provost & executive vice chancellor; Kim A. Wilcox, UCR chancellor; Patricia Shulman; David Shulman; Teresa Stapleton; Robert Stapleton; Yunzeng Wang, dean of the School of Business; and Peter Hayashida, vice chancellor for University Advancement.

A generous endowment from two alumni and longtime UCR supporters to the UCR School of Business will enhance the research, teaching, and learning mission of the university. The endowment will allow the School of Business to recruit and reward top-tier faculty and Inland Southern California students at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.

The philanthropic support from Teresa and Robert Stapleton will establish the Stapleton Presidential Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Shulman Endowed Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Stapleton Family Endowed Business Scholarship.

This endowment is the Stapleton family’s latest show of support for UCR, having generously given their time to mentor and advise students and faculty at the School of Business. “It is very rewarding to have an enduring relationship with our alumni and witness their desire to give back to the university through meaningful engagement and financial support,” said Dean of the School of Business Yunzeng Wang.
