RECAP: Many Great Moments at Homecoming 2017

More than 2,000 alumni, family, friends, and community members participated in this year's Homecoming activities

This year’s Homecoming celebrations brought more than 2,000 alumni, family, friends, and community members UC Riverside’s annual celebrations.

The weekend kicked off on Friday, Nov. 17, with a bonfire and music. On Saturday, the campus was full of families visiting labs, taking tours of the campus, and enjoying all the games and activities at Scot Fest.

Highlights from this year’s homecoming include:

  • Overall registrations: 1,642, a 60 percent increase over last year
  • An estimated 2,500 people participated in Scot Fest
  • More than 300 parents and family members attended the standing-room only Parent and Family Day
  • The Chicano Latino Alumni annual dinner had over 250 attendees
  • The Native American Student Programs run registered 150 runners
  • Saturday evening’s basketball game had a capacity crowd
