School of Medicine’s Dr. Gemma Kim Receives Fellowship Appointment
ADFM fellowship is a one-year program for family medicine physicians wanting to explore professional advancement
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) – Gemma Kim, M.D., M.S., assistant clinical professor and family medicine residency director at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, recently received a fellowship from the Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM).
The 2018-19 ADFM fellowship is a one-year program designed for family medicine physicians who either aspire to becoming, or are wanting to further explore if a chair position would be a good fit. The fellowship was created to develop an effective pipeline for family medicine department chairs.
Kim joined the UCR School of Medicine faculty in March 2013 and is the founding program director of the family medicine residency program in Palm Springs. She earned her M.D./M.S. from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Texas A&M School of Medicine – Scott & White Hospital.
