Climate Change Fair Draws Hundreds of Families to Campus

The second “Refresh Riverside! A Community Fair” took place around the bell tower

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Hundreds of families flocked to the University of California, Riverside on Saturday, Oct. 13, to enjoy “Refresh Riverside! A Community Fair.”

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  adults and children participated in a variety of games modified to instruct about climate change.  Besides games, the fair offered science informational booths and free food.

Among the many visitors were Mayor Ron Loveridge of Riverside and Mark Takano, a candidate for Congress in Riverside Country.  They joined numerous people in signing the “I Pledge to Refresh Riverside” banner.

This is the second time the fair was held.  Last year, rain forced the fair indoors.  This year, the sun was out in all its fall glory.
